I have to say that HSBC was the ONLY company in the states that helped me when I was getting a car loan and they were great to deal with when I paid it off! I think customer service really helps to “Rate” a company!

Trying to always do big things and seek big things to do usually leads to watching rubbish TV and nothing being done.

Have you actively tried being content with frequent little things?
Life can become full with them if you allow it.
Is it that you do not appreciate the little things? Something to think about.

So what are all these fabulous things and experiences and opportunities for which you yearn?

Power? Money? Possessions? Lovers? Attention? Public adulation?
And what would that give you?

Laura had a similar problem with her business phone line. She received a call at work from a “giant” which, to all intents and purposes sounds to be the same as yours. (Clive reminds me that it the name of one of Saturn’s moons!!) They offered to take over the line and she said that she was interested because of the lower prices. They told her that they would send her a contract but sent none. A month later she received a large bill from them. She phone BT to ask if the line had been transferred which it had. She said that she hadn’t signed anything to effect the transfer and BT said that it was no longer necessary but that a phone call was binding. She asked, what about the “cooling off period” which of course was irrelevant as she had received no contract. When she questioned “the giant” she was told that they had sent out 2 on the same day. The long saga which went on for months ended when Laura negotiated a settlement with the bailiffs as she realised that “the giant” was in a better position than her to foot the bill for court cases but it cost her over £200.
I think it is scarey that the written word has now been superceded by phone calls; Clive’s mum was phoned a few weeks ago and, being old and a bit lonely, gave all her bank details over the phone to some guy claiming to be a company dealing with nuisance calls. She hadn’t even HAD any nuisance calls! (Thankfully she made a mistake with one of the digits) Clive points out that for a large percentage of the over 80 population, this kind of scam is bread and butter.
Hope you succeed in the small claims court John. Let me know the outcome.
